Sugardeer is the work of Cleveland-based composer and producer Kit Boyle. Feeling stagnated in classical music, Kit started this project to better express themself through their love of pop production and rock sensibilities. With a background in composition and emotional repression, Sugardeer weaves ornate orchestrations into a wistful indie-pop sound that delights in the cryptic and the revelatory.
Their latest single “Princess Idiot” was released February 13th 2026. A brash departure from their contemplative approach, it was received as “a cathartic release that signals a broader emotional range” (Tits Upon Tyne). Sugardeer currently works on their debut full-length record, and performs locally as they put their efforts in uplifting the Cleveland DIY scene.
